In-Lab Sleep Study (Polysomnography)

What is this test?
An in-lab sleep study is a comprehensive overnight assessment that monitors your sleep, breathing, heart rate, oxygen levels, brain activity and body movements while you sleep.
Why is it performed?
It helps diagnose sleep disorders such as obstructive sleep apnoea, central sleep apnoea, abnormal sleep behaviours, movement disorders and other conditions affecting sleep quality.
How is it performed?
You will spend the night in our comfortable sleep laboratory. A qualified sleep technician will apply small sensors before you go to sleep. The test is painless, and your sleep is monitored throughout the night.
Before your test
Attend as instructed, avoid caffeine and alcohol on the day of your study unless advised otherwise, and bring any regular medications, comfortable sleepwear and personal toiletries.
